PAX Health is a leading mental and behavioral health organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals facing mental health challenges. Our team of professionals strives to create an environment where mental health is prioritized, stigma is reduced, and individuals can thrive in their journey toward well-being.

We are seeking a New York Licensed Psychologist to join our team in a W-2, fee-for-service position. This opportunity is well suited for psychologists who value a busy clinical practice and the ability to increase their earnings based on the services they provide.

Full-time psychologists working a 40-hour fee-for-service schedule have the opportunity to earn upwards of $170,000 annually.

In addition to compensation for patient visits, psychologists may receive additional compensation for eligible administrative/paperwork services, reports, and deposition-related work, further increasing overall earning potential.

The psychologist will provide services to individuals experiencing a range of mental health, cognitive, and emotional challenges, including individuals involved in New York Workers' Compensation and no-fault cases.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess mental health, cognitive functioning, and overall well-being.
  • Provide individual and evidence-based psychotherapy to patients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, chronic pain, and related behavioral health concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to support recovery, rehabilitation, and improved functioning.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-focused interventions, and other appropriate modalities.
  • Maintain a consistent clinical schedule, with full-time fee-for-service psychologists generally booked for approximately 13 patient appointments per day.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, vocational counselors, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Support patients throughout the return-to-function and return-to-work process, when applicable.
  • Complete accurate and timely progress notes, treatment plans, psychological reports, and other required clinical documentation.
  • Complete applicable administrative, reporting, and paperwork services associated with patient care.
  • Participate in depositions and other case-related professional services, as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with New York State, Workers' Compensation Board, professional, ethical, and organizational requirements.
