A clinical psychologist for neuro-rehabilitation evaluates and treats cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes in patients with brain injuries or nervous system disorders. Key responsibilities include conducting neurophysiological tests, providing individual psychotherapy, and collaborating with medical teams.
Key Responsibilities
    • Assessment: Perform detailed cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations for patients with conditions like stroke or traumatic brain injury.
    • Intervention: Deliver evidence-based therapy—such as cognitive rehabilitation or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)—to help patients adjust and recover.
    • Teamwork: Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical staff in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Family Support: Offer guidance, psychoeducation, and counseling to families and caregivers coping with a loved one's neurological illness.

Qualifications & Requirements
    • Education: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology depending on regional standards like RCI in India).
    • Licensure: Active professional registration or license to practice clinical psychology.
    • Experience: Clinical training or prior work focused on neuropsychology, brain injury, or physical rehabilitation settings.
