Clinical Quality & Education Manager (Air & Ground Services)

Position Summary

CareFlite is seeking a Clinical Quality & Education Manager to lead clinical quality initiatives and educational programs for our Air and Ground Clinical Services teams. This role is responsible for advancing clinical practice, overseeing quality improvement efforts, managing regulatory and accreditation compliance, and supporting the ongoing development of EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, and Critical Care Clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Clinical Quality Program for Air and Ground Clinical Services.
  • Manage monthly and annual education requirements for clinical personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with CAMTS, DSHS, and other applicable state and national standards.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical quality and education.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop, maintain, and revise Clinical Practice Guidelines.
  • Promote excellence in patient care through education, consultation, collaboration, and research.
  • Support continuing education, competency validation, and professional development initiatives.
  • Deliver educational programs to both small and large groups of clinical personnel.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and foster a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Exposure to various clinical environments, including bloodborne pathogens and extreme temperatures.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated situations.

Required

  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Advanced Trauma Course Provider certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • CCRN, CEN, or CFRN certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Willingness to obtain Texas Department of Health Instructor/Examiner certification within 12 months.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of flight program experience.
  • Experience teaching and presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience participating in research activities and/or published clinical work.
  • Previous experience in quality management, accreditation, or clinical education leadership.
