Clinical Reporting Analyst

The Clinical Reporting Analyst is responsible for generating and delivering a variety of critical reports, dashboards, and data analyses that support clinical operations, student clinical experiences, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. Serving both internal academic stakeholders and external agencies, this role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data used to drive operational effectiveness and compliance outcomes.
The analyst develops recurring and ad hoc reports, investigates data discrepancies, creates dashboards to surface performance metrics, and provides actionable insights that support clinical operations, process improvement initiatives, and organizational goals. This position plays a critical role in maintaining data quality, supporting system integrations and enhancements, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
The Clinical Reporting Analyst is expected to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned clinical reporting areas and serve as a key resource for data interpretation, reporting processes, and system-related inquiries. Operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the successful candidate manages a high volume of deliverables across multiple systems, including Salesforce, Banner, the Experiential Learning Management System (ELMS), and Power BI, while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
Because this role requires synthesizing, validating, and analyzing data from multiple platforms, the Clinical Reporting Analyst must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Excel expertise, including complex lookup functions, data merging, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports to support clinical operations, compliance tracking, and business decision-making.
- Analyze data from multiple systems, including clinical education, compliance, and CRM platforms, to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure data integrity by monitoring, validating, and reconciling information across systems and reports.
- Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Compliance, Experiential Learning, Faculty, and Leadership, to understand reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies, system issues, and reporting discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Support clinical placement, faculty compliance, student compliance, and related operational reporting initiatives.
- Utilize reporting and business intelligence tools to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accessibility.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), report documentation, and data definitions to promote consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of reports and datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor reporting trends and performance metrics to identify risks, support strategic planning, and improve operational outcomes.
- Provide reporting expertise and training to stakeholders on available reports, dashboards, and data interpretation.
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades, testing, and data migration activities to ensure reporting continuity and data accuracy.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s Degree in relevant area preferred
- 1–2 years of reporting or data analytics experience required.
- 1–2 prior customer service experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Prior experience working with Salesforce, Banner, ELMS, and/or PowerBI is highly preferred.
- Experience with project and/or change management preferred.
- Strong MS Office skills required.
- Capacity to learn technical systems and environments, interested in developing their technical skills.
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to work independently, problem solve and drive to solutions.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $20.51 and $36.09. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
