At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our ICU leadership team plays a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care to our most critical patients. We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor (RN) to lead ICU operations and serve as a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Lead, driving clinical excellence, patient safety, and team performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as frontline clinical leader in the ICU, supporting staff and patient care delivery
  • Lead and respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue events across the hospital
  • Assess, stabilize, and coordinate care for deteriorating patients
  • Manage patient throughput, transfers, and bed flow in collaboration with leadership
  • Monitor staff performance, competencies, and compliance requirements
  • Support staffing decisions based on census and acuity
  • Lead huddles, participate in bed board and All Bed Crisis (ABC) meetings
  • Ensure compliance with policies, quality metrics, and patient safety standards
  • Round on patients and families to support patient experience and address concerns
  • Identify educational needs and support staff development and training

What You Bring

  • 2–5 years of ICU RN experience
  • Prior charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and crisis management skills
  • Ability to lead teams in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care

Requirements

  • Current California RN license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required (Master’s preferred)
  • AHA BLS certification
  • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card and MOAB certification within 30 days

Preferred

  • CCRN certification
  • Active participation in hospital committees or leadership councils
