California Detox is a premier detoxification and residential treatment facility specializing in substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Located just minutes from the ocean, our program offers a serene and structured environment designed for healing. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Therapist (ACSW, AMFT, or APCC) to join our collaborative and compassionate clinical team.
🔍 Key Responsibilities

Provide individual therapy (caseload of 6 clients) and facilitate 1-2 therapy groups per week

Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, create diagnostic impressions based on DSM-5 criteria, and develop client-centered treatment plans

Utilize evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy

Deliver co-occurring disorder treatment and support clients through dual-diagnosis challenges

Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and contribute to utilization reviews, risk assessments, and crisis interventions when needed

Participate in clinical supervision (provided, if required)
✅ Requirements

Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field

Active BBS Associate Registration (ACSW, AMFT, or APCC)

Minimum of 1 year of experience in addiction treatment (preferred)

Strong understanding of 12-step philosophy, family systems, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions

Familiarity with group therapy facilitation, case management, and EMR charting
