Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Analytics Consultant to support data-driven planning and decision-making across global clinical development programs. The consultant will leverage historical clinical trial data, advanced statistical methods, and predictive analytics to provide actionable insights related to country selection, patient recruitment, site allocation, and study feasibility.

This consultant must possess strong analytical capabilities, hands-on experience working with clinical trial data, and proven expertise in modern analytics platforms and tools, including Databricks, SQL, Python, Power BI, and Excel. They should be able to translate complex datasets into actionable insights that support clinical trial planning, recruitment forecasting, feasibility assessments, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory analysis of historical clinical trial performance data.

  • Develop recruitment forecasts and predictive models to support study planning.

  • Perform scenario simulations and sensitivity analyses to evaluate planning assumptions and potential outcomes.

  • Provide analytical support for country selection, feasibility assessments, and patient allocation recommendations.

  • Conduct statistical analyses to inform operational and strategic planning decisions.

  • Develop and execute analyses within Databricks Notebooks and Databricks Workbench environments.

  • Prepare and present analytical outputs using established Power BI dashboards and PowerPoint templates.

  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.

Typical Business Questions Supported

The consultant will be expected to support analysis and recommendations related to questions such as:

  • Which countries should be considered for a specific study or clinical development program?

  • What recruitment timelines can realistically be expected?

  • What patient and site allocations are recommended to achieve study objectives?

  • What are the trade-offs between recruitment speed, operational risk, cost, and feasibility?

  • How can historical trial performance data be leveraged to improve planning accuracy?

Required Experience & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in global clinical trial analytics.

  • Expertise in recruitment forecasting and predictive modelling.

  • Experience with country allocation, feasibility assessments, and patient/site planning.

  • Advanced statistical analysis and modelling capabilities.

  • Proficiency in SQL and Databricks.

  • Strong Python programming skills for data analysis and modelling.

  • Experience using Power BI and Excel for reporting and visualization.

Industry Experience

  • Proven experience supporting major pharmaceutical sponsors and clinical development organizations.

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, recruitment planning, and feasibility processes.

  • Experience working within regulated environments and adhering to data governance requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within obesity, diabetes, or related therapeutic areas.

  • Familiarity with large-scale global clinical development programs.

  • Experience presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
