As our Clinician In-Residence, you will be the medical voice across product, clinical operations, regulatory strategy, patient experience, and research as we bring breath-based cancer detection to the world.

About the Role

This is a cross-functional medical role, involving work across product, clinical operations, medical affairs, regulatory, patient experience, and research. Dognosis runs a multi-site prospective clinical study under ICH-GCP and Indian GCP compliance, and is preparing for commercial rollout. You will be embedded across both: shaping protocols and ensuring scientific rigor today, and helping build the medical foundation for a consumer screening product tomorrow.

What You'll Do

  • Shape study protocols and clinical workflows alongside the Clinical & Founding Team.
  • Shape the user experience and customer journey for our breath-based product(s) for MCED (multi-cancer early detection) and recurrence monitoring.
  • Build and iterate on the counselling workflow for BreathEasy users on their screening results and serve as the medical point of contact for patient-facing interactions.
  • Contribute to research publications and represent Dognosis at scientific conferences.

What You Need

  • MBBS with registration to practice in India, and ideally in Karnataka.
  • Strong communication skills. You can explain complex medical concepts in simple terms to customers and the general public, while retaining strong clinical confidence with clinicians.
  • Genuine interest in product development. You want to shape how diagnostics reach people.
  • Comfort in unstructured environments where you define your own priorities and work across functions.
  • Interest in research and figuring out novel care pathways.

Nice to have

  • Experience in clinical research, whether during training, residency, or independently.
  • Experience in public-facing community (blog, social media, educational content).
  • Experience in product development.

What You'll Get

  • Potential co-authorship on research in top-tier journals. Dognosis has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and presents frequently at ASCO, AACR, Cancer Research UK.
  • Network and interactions with leading hospitals in India and the USA (Narayana Health, KMCRI, Tata Memorial, Harvard's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) and globally renowned researchers.
  • Competitive salary and matching perks at a company backed by Accel, Berkeley's The House Fund, and other leading global investors.
  • Working with a high-touch interdisciplinary team spanning engineers, scientists, and working detection dogs. The office is never boring.
  • Ownership over a novel product with potential for a paradigm-shift in oncology and how we detect and treat cancer.
