Cloud Administrator (AWS GCC)

Summary

Manages and supports AWS-hosted cloud infrastructure for government clients, handling administration, vendor coordination, and security compliance while assisting with business analysis and change management.

Role: Cloud Administrator (AWS GCC)

Duration: 12 Months (extendable)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cloud administration and application support for applications hosted on AWS GCC.
  • Perform Business Analyst (BA) responsibilities, including coordinating with business users and stakeholders.
  • Familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Manage and coordinate third-party vendors/developers.
  • Handle change requests and support regular change/release activities.
  • Coordinate closely with Infrastructure Administration teams.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS GCC, including Load Balancers, Firewalls, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud administration, application support and business analysis.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, preferably AWS Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).
  • Familiarity with AWS networking, Load Balancers, firewalls, and cloud operations.
  • Experience managing vendors and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of MAS/Government security standards (IM8) is an advantage.
  • Familiar with cloud admin hands on AWS like security groups, S3 bucket, Cloudwatch, Secrets Manager, Application Load Balancer, Network Load Balancer, scheduled maintenance
  • Has experience in application development (preferably.Net), and in application lifecycle management (including change management and developer vendor management),
  • Preferably has experience in supporting government agencies and is familiar with government security policies and compliance requirements such as IM8.
  • Familiar with server, application and log monitoring and management platforms such as Elastic, CloudWatch.
