About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to design and guide secure, scalable, and reliable cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions within a complex public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Develop cloud standards, landing zones, governance, and infrastructure strategies.
- Design Azure networking, including VNets, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN and ExpressRoute.
- Define cloud security and Identity & Access Management architectures, including Zero Trust, Entra ID and RBAC.
- Design solutions for backup, disaster recovery, high availability and business continuity.
- Support container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and AKS.
- Implement and promote Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell or Azure CLI.
- Establish monitoring, logging and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Defender for Cloud.
- Ensure effective integration between on-premise infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Provide architectural guidance, documentation and knowledge transfer to technical teams.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, database and project teams.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Microsoft Azure Architecture and hybrid infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking, cloud security and IAM.
- Extensive experience with Terraform/Bicep and cloud automation.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes/container platforms.
- Experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization and enterprise storage.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Dutch, French and English proficiency.

- Workload: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Location: Brussels
- Work model: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week onsite
