Cloud Architect (Azure) - SC Cleared

Salary: £137,500 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance
• Sole UK national
• Ability to work on-site in Milton Keynes two days per week
• Available for an outside IR35 contract
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud services
• Hands-on experience deploying and configuring Microsoft Defender
• Experience implementing Microsoft XDR solutions
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and Microsoft security technologies
• Experience working within secure or regulated environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures within Microsoft Azure
• Lead the deployment and integration of Microsoft Defender across the Azure estate
• Design and deliver Microsoft XDR solutions to improve threat detection and response capabilities
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with business and security requirements
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation and ensure compliance with security and governance standards
• Support the migration and optimisation of cloud services while embedding security best practices

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to support a high-profile client on the design and delivery of secure cloud solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a security-focused cloud transformation programme within a highly secure environment. The role is based in Milton Keynes with two days per week on-site, offered as an outside IR35 contract with a rate of up to £550-600 per day. We require active SC clearance and sole UK nationality.
