Summary
Designs and implements enterprise cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions for clients, focusing on Microsoft Azure, M365, and hybrid environments while leading presales and delivery efforts.
A Day in the Life:
- Working with customers and internal stakeholders, defining customer solutions, and delivering engagements that are innovative and exceed business requirements
- Continuously improve team processes to ensure information is of the highest quality, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team
- Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges
- Design, and implement standard or custom technical solutions
- Develop complete customer-focused technology solutions for current and new service offerings, considering all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security and recovery items
- Create relevant documentation as required including conceptual design, logical and physical designs, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and enhance deliverables
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance, demonstrations, and product education as required
- Meet with clients to determine needs and/or identify problem areas
- Develop estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposals which outline professional services required to meet client requirements
- Represent Long View at vendor and industry events as required
- Participate and contribute including sharing learnings and information with the larger Long View team that is not present at the event
- Assist with hosting presentations and/or education sessions such as Lunch & Learns
- Align with clients to build long term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View
- Analyze complex requirements and develop IT strategies and multi-technology solutions that are aligned with industry-accepted best practices
- Stay abreast of architectural and industry changes, especially in the areas of Cloud
What You Bring:
- 10+ years in enterprise solution architecture, consulting, or senior engineering roles with a strong infrastructure technology stack focus (compute, storage, database, containers, serverless, migrations)
- Possess and demonstrate experience in architecting and implementing industry leading technologies and solutions at an enterprise level.
- Expertise in managing client requirements through strong business and technical consulting skills and be proficient in creating complex multi-technology solutions across multiple architecture domains.
- Work with multiple business units, service delivery practices, and technical disciplines to lead opportunities from pre-sales through to successful implementation and conclusion, and hand-off to operational support or PS delivery.
- 5+ years of industry experience multi-technology solutions through diverse business and technical consulting
- 2+ years of experience designing solutions relating to Microsoft technologies including Azure, Office 365, M365
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure support technologies like Citrix, Nutanix, VMWare
- Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
- Proven pre-sales capabilities and technological leadership experience
- Proven ability to understand and capture complex business requirements to create technical solutions
- Familiarity with IT architecture principles and industry frameworks to work within the approved Long View Systems architecture frameworks and methodologies
- Professional services consulting experiences
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
