Summary
At IT consultancy Qualysoft in Budapest, this engineer integrates Mender Enterprise SaaS into the e.IoT platform for secure fleet-wide OTA updates: backend API integrations, progressive rollouts, signing pipelines, rollback and secrets management. Core stack: Python/Bash/PowerShell scripting, CI/CD, cloud/edge platforms; Azure and Kubernetes are pluses.

Responsibilities:
- Integrate Mender Enterprise SaaS into the e.IoT platform to enable secure, fleet-wide Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates.
- Design and implement backend API integrations with Mender Enterprise.
- Develop and configure progressive rollout strategies for software updates across edge devices.
- Set up secure software/package signing pipelines for edge deployments.
- Implement fail-safe automatic rollback mechanisms to ensure reliable and resilient updates.
- Integrate secure secrets management into deployment and update processes.
- Support the automation and operationalisation of the Mender-based OTA solution within the e.IoT platform.
- Collaborate closely with backend, cloud, DevOps and edge engineering teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cloud, Backend, DevOps or DevSecOps Engineer.
- Strong experience with API integration and backend services.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.
- Practical experience with software supply chain security.
- Experience with code/software package signing.
- Hands-on experience with secrets management and secure deployment practices.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms and distributed/edge environments.
- Strong problem-solving and automation mindset.
Advantages:
- Experience with Mender Enterprise or other OTA/device management platforms.
- Previous experience with IoT or edge computing environments.
- Experience with Azure and Azure IoT services.
- Knowledge of progressive deployment strategies and fleet management.
- Experience with containerisation and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
