We are looking for a Staff to Principal Cloud Backend Engineer to join our Enterprise Networking Cloud Backend team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating scalable cloud-native backend services that power Enterprise Networking solutions. As a Staff to Principal Cloud Backend Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Frontend engineers, Local Controller engineers, DevOps/SRE engineers, and Product managers, to build reliable, secure, and high-performance cloud platforms. You will contribute to architecture decisions, backend development, cloud infrastructure integration, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
What You’ll Do:
1.Own the architecture and evolution of scalable, cloud-native backend platforms for Enterprise Networking.
2. Design distributed network management systems covering device provisioning, configuration, monitoring, firmware, and lifecycle management.
3. Define APIs, data architecture, event-driven communication, and integration with Controllers, APs, Switches, and Gateways.
4. Architect real-time, multi-tenant, and secure platforms, including RBAC, IAM, API security, messaging, and streaming.
5. Drive scalability, performance, availability, resilience, observability, and disaster recovery through architecture reviews and technical decisions.
6. Mentor engineers and foster technical leadership, ownership, and engineering excellence.

【Essential Requirements】
1. 5+ years of RESTful API / gRPC / GraphQL Web Services development experience. Experience with Python or Go is preferred; Java experience is also acceptable.
2. Expertise in Microservices architecture with hands-on experience in cloud-native technologies and AWS (Amazon Web Services).
3. Familiarity with API security best practices, including token-based authentication, Role based access control (RBAC), and secure communication between services.
4. Solid understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JSON Web Tokens (JWT).
5. Strong expertise in Linux-based Cloud development and Container orchestration (Docker, Compose, and Kubernetes), with the ability to design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot production-grade containerized platforms.
6. Expert-level experience with NGINX and cloud-native traffic management, including designing and governing architectures for reverse proxy, load balancing, API gateway, SSL/TLS termination, mutual TLS (mTLS), HTTP routing, and traffic control.
7. Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using asynchronous messaging and event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ).
【Preferred Qualifications】
1. Experience developing Network Management Systems (NMS) or Cloud Controller, including network automation, configuration management, monitoring, and orchestration.
2. Experience building multi-tenant (MSP) Cloud platforms and Services.
3. Experience optimizing Kubernetes workloads for scalability, high availability, observability, and security.
