Cloud Core Network Engineer - MRO AMS

Job Description

• Perform operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile core network infrastructure to ensure network availability, service continuity, and compliance with defined SLAs.

• Analyze network performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and recommend improvements to enhance network reliability and optimize network architecture.

• Support the planning, implementation, integration, migration, and acceptance testing of core network solutions, including PS Core/EPC, HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF, 5G Core (5GC), and NFV, and other relevant cloud-based core network technologies, according to project and customer requirements.

• Monitor network performance and service quality, identify potential risks, and implement corrective and preventive measures.

• Act as a technical point of contact for engineering teams, customers, and vendors to coordinate technical activities and resolve network issues.

• Collaborate with project teams, customers, and other stakeholders to support technical delivery, service improvement, and customer satisfaction.

• Provide technical support for cloud-based core network solutions, including NFV infrastructure and related virtualization technologies.

• Participate in technical discussions, prepare technical documentation, and provide technical guidance to support network operations and project delivery.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Preferably 2 years or above of relevant working experience in telecommunications core networks, network operations, implementation, or technical support.

• Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas: PS Core/EPC, HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF, 5G Core (5GC), or NFV., or other relevant core network technologies.

• Knowledge of 5G Core architecture and network functions, including AMF, SMF, and UPF, will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge of IP networking, virtualization, and cloud-based core network solutions will be an added advantage.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

• Customer-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced working environment.

• Willingness to travel for work assignments when required.
