Cloud, Data & AI Security Engineer

We are hiring a Cloud, Data + AI Security Engineer for a large aviation organisation in Dublin. This is a hands‑on engineering role at the point where data security and AI security meet, and it is an urgent hire with an immediate start.

Hybrid, 3 days per week on site

Our client is securing both its data estate and the AI tooling now being deployed across the business. You will be the person doing the engineering: building and tuning Microsoft Purview controls, and applying the same rigour to the AI tools, agents and integrations the organisation is adopting. This is a build role, not an oversight role. You will own the controls end to end, from design through deployment to evidence and reporting, and work alongside Data, AI, Privacy and Legal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building and tuning Microsoft Purview controls: sensitivity labels, DLP policies, classification and rights management
• Engineering secure deployments of AI tools, agents, bots and integrations
• Building and governing controls around AI usage across the organisation
• Delivering control governance and remediation workflows for data and AI non‑compliances
• Producing evidence‑based reporting on control coverage and compliance posture
• Working directly with Data, AI, Privacy and Legal stakeholders on governance requirements
• Owning technical delivery end to end rather than overseeing someone else's

You need both sides of this role. Candidates with one side only have not made it through.

Technical & Experience Requirements

• Hands‑on Microsoft Purview and data security engineering, with real delivered project work across sensitivity labels, DLP, classification and rights management
• Hands‑on AI engineering or AI security: building, governing or securing AI tools, agents, bots or MCP integrations, or engineering secure AI deployments
• Minimum 8 years industry experience, including 4+ years specifically in data security, information protection or security engineering
• Control governance, remediation workflows and evidence‑based reporting for data and AI non‑compliances
• Experience collaborating with governance stakeholders across Data, AI, Privacy and Legal

On the AI side, please note this means engineering or security work on AI systems. Using Copilot or ChatGPT as a productivity tool does not meet the bar the client has set.

This one is genuinely hands‑on. It will suit an engineer who still builds, and who can talk through a real project in technical detail: what you deployed, at what scale, what went wrong and how you solved it.

It is not an architecture, programme management, delivery management or pre‑sales position, and profiles from those backgrounds have been unsuccessful even at senior level. It is also not a fit if your depth is CI/CD, infrastructure, supply chain or network and perimeter security rather than data security specifically.
