Cloud Data Engineer

Summary

The Cloud Data Engineer designs, develops, and operates cloud frameworks for an international data and analytics platform using Microsoft Azure and Big Data technologies. The role involves building ETL pipelines, supporting data product teams, and implementing DataOps and DevOps methodologies.

Your tasks

As a Cloud Data Engineer, you are part of a platform team responsible for designing, developing, and operating business-oriented cloud frameworks for the international data & analytics platform.

Specific Key Tasks and Activities

  • Design and develop core technical solutions, policies and processes for the international data & analytics platform
  • Provide, enhance, and support standardized platform frameworks that enable data product teams to build, deploy, and operate end-to-end data processes in a consistent, governed, and scalable way
  • Responsible for the operational support of the product, including monitoring, troubleshooting, deployments and testing
  • Evaluate the latest technologies and features, test them in the form of proof of concepts and introduce them as new products for the data & analytics platform
  • Work with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies such as DataOps, DevOps and Scrum
  • Support the planning of the development and guide other data engineers

Requirements

  • Experience working with Big Data technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure Cloud (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure DevOps)
  • Profound knowledge in the development of ETL pipelines, ideally with Python, SQL or Spark
  • Experience with Declarative Automation Bundles is beneficial
  • Azure cetificate in the Data & Analytics area
