Cloud Data Engineer (AWS / GCP, 35-55K)
Salary: $35,000 – $45,000 per month
Job Responsibilities
Conduct user requirement analysis and system design for in-house development projects.
Undertake system development, including programming, testing, implementation, and related system maintenance, enhancements, and support tasks.
Design and develop cloud-native application components, including serverless APIs, event-driven data pipelines, and containerized batch jobs.
Design and implement relational data models, database objects, and data access logic.
Prepare technical specifications, unit and integration test plans, and system documentation; participate in peer code reviews and enforce coding standards.
Support user acceptance testing, production cutover, parallel runs, and post-implementation stabilization.
Job Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
4+ years of IT experience, with 2+ years in cloud development.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), including serverless and managed data services.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), with expertise in SQL writing and query optimization.
Experience in data modeling, the Spark framework, and RESTful API implementation.
Practical experience in data integration, ETL/ELT, or streaming data pipelines.
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices.
Immediate availability is highly preferred.
Good communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
