Cloud Data Engineer - Banking
Summary
Design and manage cloud-based data solutions for banking clients on Google Cloud Platform: building and orchestrating data pipelines with Apache Airflow/Cloud Composer, working with BigQuery, and developing ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL. Requires 3+ years of data/cloud engineering experience, ideally in banking or financial services.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cloud Data Engineer, Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or related role.
- Experience working in Banking / Financial Services is mandatory
- Strong experience in Cloud Engineering, particularly in designing and managing cloud-based data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially: Google Cloud Composer BigQuery Apache Airflow
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in data pipeline development and orchestration using Airflow / Cloud Composer.
- Proficient in Python for data engineering and automation.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and data manipulation.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data pipeline architecture.
- Familiar with cloud-based data warehouse concepts and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
