About the role
As a Cloud Data Engineer within the Client Reporting team, you will work with business-critical data flows and reports, while actively contributing to technical design choices and development. The client reporting area is undergoing a major transformation, moving from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-based data ecosystem on GCP. The team's mission is to make data accessible, reliable, and easy to consume, enabling data-driven decisions and powering next-generation applications.

What you will do

  • Drive and be part of the technical roadmap for data and integration solutions

  • Work hands-on with technical design, development and implementation, as well as maintaining existing applications in the area

  • Build and modernize data pipelines, APIs, and data products

  • Bridge legacy systems with a modern cloud-native architecture in GCP

  • Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders

  • Ensure alignment with technical standards, patterns, and target architecture

Who you are
You are a data engineer with a strong technical foundation in cloud technologies, who enjoys combining strategy and technical design with hands-on work.

We believe you have

  • Several years of experience in software development and data engineering

  • A hands-on mindset with years of proven deliveries in GCP or similar cloud platforms

  • Strong knowledge of Python, BigQuery, and SQL

  • Experience building scalable data solutions using tools such as BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker

  • Understanding of modern data architectures (Data Warehouse, event-driven)

  • Experience with ETL processes and data modelling (e.g. dimensional modelling, Data Vault)

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, GitLab, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
