Cloud Data Engineer - SAP HANA DP Administration, Hybrid

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in SAP HANA DP Administration
  • Proven experience in planning, deploying, supporting, and optimizing highly scalable and resilient database systems.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with technologies such as SAP HANA, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Postgres, and Hadoop.
  • Proficiency with Ansible and Terraform for provisioning and configuration management, alongside familiarity with public cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Proficient in Linux‑based systems and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and scalability.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and execute database initiatives.
  • Utilize Ansible and Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration for reliable deployments.
  • Provide 24/7 operational support for database systems supporting Procurement and Business Network lines of business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, performing deep troubleshooting to unblock Engineering partners.
  • Stay at the cutting edge of cloud and database technologies to proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Use Kubernetes to seamlessly deploy and manage data services.
  • Apply a growth and product mindset with a strong focus on automation and resilience.
