Summary
Design and run AWS-based cloud infrastructure, automate deployments with Terraform/Ansible, and manage Kubernetes clusters using GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS environments.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Develop, optimize, and migrate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD for automated deployments.
- Configure and maintain monitoring and observability platforms including Prometheus and Grafana.
- Integrate IAM and security solutions using Keycloak or similar identity management tools.
- Collaborate with international Agile/Scrum teams to deliver cloud-native solutions efficiently.
- Automate operational tasks and deployment activities using Python and/or Java scripting.
- Support Kubernetes cluster management, Helm deployments, and cloud platform optimization.
- Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives and cloud security best practices.
- Participate in architecture discussions, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS cloud services.
- Proven experience with Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code automation.
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
- Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration platforms.
- Experience implementing GitOps methodologies using ArgoCD or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with IAM/security tools including Keycloak or equivalent identity management platforms.
- Good scripting and automation skills using Python and/or Java.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with distributed international teams.
- Familiarity with Semantic Web technologies including RDF, OWL, and Knowledge Graphs is a plus.
- Exposure to graph databases such as Neo4j, Virtuoso, or Fuseki is advantageous.
- Understanding of query languages such as SPARQL and Cypher is preferred.
- Candidate should be willing and able to travel to Ghent, Belgium, and work onsite at least 2 days per week as part of the project requirements.
