Cloud DevOps Engineering

PURPOSE:

The Cloud Operations is a highly technical role based in Gurgaon, responsible for deploying, hosting, and managing native infrastructure shared resources deployed on Cloud and on-premises server infrastructure.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Hybrid & Cloud Infrastructure: Lead hands-on deployment and management of AWS or Azure or GCP ecosystems alongside on-premises data centers and co-location sites.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and maintain production-ready Terraform templates to automate consistent and compliant cloud provisioning.
• Kubernetes & Container Orchestration: Configure, deploy, and scale microservices and APIs using managed container engines like Amazon EKS or Azure AKS etc
• Foundational Cloud Design: Implement and administer core infrastructure components including networking, VPCs/VNets, IAM, storage, and security frameworks.
• SLA & Capacity Management: Drive cloud financial operations (FinOps) through cost optimization, asset lifecycle tracking (CMDB), and meeting strict SLA/OLA metrics.
• Disaster Recovery & Change Governance: Oversee infrastructure upgrades via formal IT Change Management and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) setups aligned with Business Continuity plans.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Collaborate on annual IT budgeting and cloud forecasting while negotiating contracts with external vendors and hosting providers.
• Team Mentorship & Delivery: Collaborate, motivate, and mentor support engineers to ensure high operational standards. Acronyms: SLA - Service Level Agreement, OLA - Operational Level Agreement, KPI - Key Performance Indicators, IaC - Infrastructure as Code

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree (MCA/MBA in IT) is a plus.

Active Certifications in AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer is a must

EXPERIENCE/ PREFERRED INDUSTRY:

Proven hands-on experience around 8 years in managing AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure and operations.
