Cloud DevOps Manager

Introduction & Summary
The Cloud DevOps Manager will be a pivotal role responsible for overseeing cloud environments, specifically within Azure. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in cloud architectures, security practices, and maintenance of web infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.

This is an initial 6 month contract working under a hybrid model of 2 days a week onsite in the clients office in South Dublin.

Main Responsibilities
The candidate will manage daily cloud operations with a focus on security and efficiency.

• Maintenance of websites in a cloud environment.

• Implementation of security measures and protocols.

• Utilization of cloud security tools for environment management.

• Monitoring and alerting for operational solutions.

• Oversight of release and environment management.

• Management of containerization and virtualization technologies.

Key Requirements

• Extensive Azure experience and familiarity with Azure environments.

• General security-focused mindset.

• Knowledge of cloud architectures, design, and standards.

• Experience with alerting and monitoring solutions.

• Understanding of containers and Kubernetes.

• Experience in release and environment management within cloud settings.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Entra External ID for account management and application access.

• Proficiency in git processes and CI/CD pipelines.

• Certifications: AZ 900 – Cloud Security and AZ 500 – Advanced.

• Experience in other cloud environments (e.g., AWS).

• Familiarity with ITIL processes.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Python.

• Understanding of cloud automation and best practices.

• Experience with WAF technologies such as Cloudflare or Microsoft Front Door.
