Summary

Cloud Engineer designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure, including monitoring, security, troubleshooting, and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Job Summary:

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing,deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure. This role includes performingcloud system monitoring and maintenance, troubleshooting and resolvingcloud-related issues, and documenting cloud processes and procedures. The CloudEngineer collaborates with team members to ensure the security and complianceof cloud solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Development
• Design and develop cloud infrastructure that meets business requirements.
• Create and maintain cloud resources and configurations.
• Ensure cloud resource integrity and consistency across environments.

Implementation and Maintenance
• Implement, configure, and upgrade cloud services and related software.
• Perform regular cloud maintenance tasks, such as backups, patching, andupdates.
• Monitor cloud performance and implement improvements as needed.

Performance Tuning and Optimization
• Analyze and optimize cloud performance, including resource tuning andconfiguration.
• Monitor cloud performance metrics and address potential issues proactively.
• Develop and implement strategies for cloud scalability and capacity planning.

Security and Compliance
• Implement and manage cloud security measures, including access controls andencryption.
• Ensure cloud services comply with relevant industry standards andregulations.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.

Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with software developers to ensure seamless integration of cloudservices with applications.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams and contribute to projectplanning and execution

Troubleshooting and Support
• Diagnose and resolve cloud issues, including performance bottlenecks andconnectivity problems.
• Provide on-call support for critical cloud services as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud services, processes, andprocedures.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science,Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• At least 2-3 years of working experience in cloudoperations, managing cloud-based infrastructure, and deploying cloud services.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Amazon WebServices (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-codeprinciples and tools.

• Familiarity with scripting and automation usinglanguages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.

• Experience with monitoring and log aggregationtools for proactive issue detection.

• Knowledge of security best practices andexperience implementing security controls in cloud environments.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the abilityto troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills towork effectively with diverse teams.

• Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner, AzureFundamentals is a plus.

Key Skills: AWS or Microsoft Azure, Python, PowerShell, Bash.

Scripting (good to have)

• Python and associated libraries (pandas, pyspark)

• Frameworks – React/FLASK.
