Cloud Engineer (AI)

Summary

Designs, builds, and secures cloud architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP) using IaC tools like Terraform, deploys applications, and migrates on-prem workloads to the cloud.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Design, Develop, and Manage Cloud Solutions



  • Design, build, and manage highly secure, scalable, and available architectures in the target cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP/Alibaba) for small scale projects in close coordination with development teams and project management.


  • Implement and execute well-defined Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and scripts for basic infrastructure provisioning and configuration tasks (cloud infrastructure components, including networking and security services.)


  • Support the conversion of technical component designs into functional back-end or front-end code.


  • Design operational processes for clients to ensure successful cloud adoption and management.


  • Apply security best practices and monitor cloud security posture.



Deliver Optimized Cloud Applications



  • Configure and deploy cloud applications to different staging environments for optimal performance.


  • Manage migration of on-premises applications and data to the cloud


  • Monitor cloud management and data storage services.


  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently related to cloud infrastructure and applications and participate in reviewing project requirements.


  • Deliver projects on time and within budget, applying generally accepted programming standards and techniques.


  • Utilize appropriate and standard monitoring and testing tools for cloud performance and resource utilization.


  • Create and maintain Unit Tests for applications before Quality Assurance (QA) testing to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of cloud resources provisioned.


  • Collaborate with the testing team to ensure seamless application integration with cloud services (Application interaction with cloud services like databases or storage).


  • Maintain and handle project source code repositories.


  • Reviews code for functionality, adherence to coding standards, and basic security principles.



Communication & Collaboration:



  • Collaborate effectively with clients to understand and meet their SDLC requirements, business needs, and cloud adoption goals.


  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


  • Regularly report on cloud performance, resource utilization, and project progress.


  • Participates in training, design, documentation, and delivery efforts with the Project Manager.



Technology Evaluation:



  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to recommend optimal solutions.


  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.


  • Other job-related activities may be assigned from time to time.



Knowledge – Knowledgeable in the following:



  • Any integration protocols like SMPP, UCP, and HTTP, and others


  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.


  • Strong proficiency in Git-related tooling and DevOps principles.


  • Using version control (e.g. SVN, Git)


  • Debugging and optimization skills


  • Server-side setup (Linux/Windows)


  • Web to mobile integration


  • Java, Python, AWS, and .Net is a plus



Skills:



  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


  • Demonstrates presentation skills with a high degree of comfort for diverse audiences.


  • Must have sound problem resolution, judgment, analytical, and decision-making.


  • Possesses solid Stakeholder Relationship Management and the ability to collaborate with various teams to attain goals and pursue excellence.


  • Demonstrates excellent Organizational, Time Management, and Attention to Detail Skills.


  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to guide new team members.


  • Must be adept at working in a fast-paced environment with tight SLAs.
