Summary: This Cloud Engineer position focuses on transitioning legacy applications to modern cloud-native architectures, primarily using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The main goal is to enhance application performance and security while ensuring strong collaboration with customers and partners in the implementation of cloud solutions.
Responsibilities:
Partner with customers and partners to manage and deliver successful cloud solution implementations.
Lead application modernization initiatives, transforming legacy applications into microservices architectures on GCP.
Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure and Application automation using Terraform and Kubernetes.
Propose and deploy solution architectures on GCP with a focus on Python-driven automation and secure infrastructure.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to manage applications on GCP with an emphasis on secure network topology.
Develop migration strategies for legacy applications to container-based architectures on GKE.
Guide customers in effective application decomposition and automation script writing.
Manage project technical scope, timelines, and deliverables with stakeholders.
Must Haves:
Practical experience developing and debugging software tools and scripts using Python.
Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE) for deployment management and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience in application modernization and migrating legacy software to cloud-native architectures.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
Strong Cloud Networking knowledge (VPCs, Load Balancing, DNS, security policies).
Practical experience with IAM structures based on the principle of least privilege.
Proven ability to optimize CI/CD pipelines and use Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
Nice to Haves:
Ability to design complex systems and understand system interactions.
Google Cloud Professional Certification (e.g., Cloud Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer).
