Cloud Engineer (Azure)
Summary
Maintains and automates hybrid cloud infrastructure on Azure, including patching, containerization, and IaC, while providing L2/L3 support for incidents.
Location: Harbourfront (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strong platform performance through monitoring, capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management for both on-premise and cloud platform (Azure)
- Implement infrastructure standards and drive automation initiatives to uplift efficiency and reliability.
- Execute monthly patching cycles across hybrid environments with minimal disruption.
- Provide L2 and L3 BAU support for Azure and on-premises platform incidents.
- Support containerisation (Azure Docker, Kubernetes) and hybrid cloud adoption.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation for consistent operations.
Key Requirements
- Experience with Azure, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native services
- Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows Server administration
- Hands-on knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or similar)
- Understanding of Nutanix and virtualisation concepts
- Good foundation in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, security)
- Scripting capabilities using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability platforms
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
- 4-7 years experience in infrastructure/platform operations
- Proven experience supporting large-scale or high-availability systems
