Overview
Cloud Engineer (Backend Development) responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and backend services, contributing to architecture decisions with senior engineers. This hands-on role supports our telematics data platform across infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration APIs. Hybrid work mode (2 days from home). Working location: Central area. Typical hours: 9 am – 6 pm.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS infrastructure for the telematics analytics platform using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Develop and optimize Python services, SQL schemas, and data workflows
- Implement security, monitoring, and cost controls following team standards
- Build and maintain APIs/SDKs that enable secure client integration with the platform
- Collaborate with data, product, and business teams to develop innovative cloud solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 2–3 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Backend Development, or Data/Platform engineering
- At least 2 years of experience in Python
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS services in production (1–2 years)
- Strong understanding of database schema design and SQL querying
- Experience with Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud principles and the AWS Well-Architected Framework
Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Python
- AWS Services: Lambda, RDS, S3, Step Functions, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudFront, VPC, CloudWatch, SNS/EventBridge
- Database Technologies: SQL, Database Schema Design
- Additional Skills: AWS Cloud Security, GitLab, Git
Preferred
- AWS certifications are a plus
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications is a plus
- Experience building dashboards, internal tools, or web-based data visualization interfaces is a plus
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Analytics concepts is a plus
