The Qualifications We Seek

DevOps and CI/CD Engineering

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Argo CD, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of automated testing, release management, deployment strategies, and application promotion across multiple environments.

Cloud-Native Technologies and Kubernetes

• Practical experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes application deployments, workload configuration, environment-specific settings, and service connectivity.
• Experience managing ConfigMaps, Secrets, Helm values, manifests, and deployment overlays.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, access management, observability, and production support.

GitOps and Platform Engineering

• Experience applying GitOps principles to application deployment and infrastructure or platform management.
• Familiarity with Flux CD and automated reconciliation of application deployments across Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to build reusable deployment templates, standardized workflows, self-service capabilities, and platform guardrails.
• Experience with AI-assisted automation is an advantage, particularly in improving deployment consistency and reducing repetitive manual tasks.

Application Development and Modernization

• Previous application development experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work with development teams to improve application configuration, secrets management, runtime behavior, and container readiness.
• Experience modernizing applications for cloud-native deployment and improving compatibility with automated delivery pipelines.

Troubleshooting and Collaboration

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across applications, pipelines, Kubernetes, networking, cloud platforms, and production environments.
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with developers and infrastructure teams.

Your Daily Tasks

• Design, develop, and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, repeatable, and secure application delivery across multiple environments.
• Build and maintain development, testing, staging, and orchestration environments to support application validation and safe production releases.
• Collaborate with software developers to modernize applications for cloud-native environments, including application configuration, secrets management, runtime dependencies, deployment patterns, and service connectivity.
• Containerize and optimize applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• Develop reusable platform capabilities, including deployment templates, self-service tooling, environment guardrails, and automated delivery workflows.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using Flux CD, including deployment reconciliation, automated rollouts, environment promotion, and Kubernetes deployment automation.
• Manage Kubernetes application configurations using ConfigMaps, Secrets, environment variables, Helm values, manifests, and deployment overlays.
• Establish consistent and secure application configuration practices across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Improve deployment reliability, observability, security, performance, recoverability, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms and delivery pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving applications, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes workloads, cloud infrastructure, networking, permissions, and production deployments.
