Cloud Engineer managing global production services and container platforms (AWS/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes) with focus on reliability, automation, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, compliance).

Job Description:

  • Be part of the Platform Services team and will primarily work with cloud and container platforms.
  • Ther team manages global production services and project delivery across Web and Application Services, Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP), and Docker/Kubernetes clusters.
  • Global production service operations support within Platform Services.
  • Accountability for the overall reliability, availability, and stability of services across the defined technical scope.
  • Provision of technical expert support for managed workloads, including analysis and resolution of incidents, problems, service requests, and change management processes.
  • Partnership with development, project, and business teams to understand requirements and technical specifications, and to contribute to project deliverables.
  • Promotion of a culture of continuous improvement in the production environment through automation, manual optimization, and performance hygiene.
  • Technical analysis of production platforms to identify and remediate performance issues.
  • Collaboration across teams and development of meaningful working relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Engagement in DevOps disciplines, including CI/CD, Continuous Testing, Continuous Monitoring, and Continuous Compliance.
  • Operation and ongoing enhancement of middleware platforms and their associated interfaces.
  • Development of self-service interfaces and related workflows.
  • Ownership of specialist responsibilities in strategic projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Profile:

  • Minimum Bachelors in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Terraform, Container Platforms: Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Scripting tools: Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, PowerShell.
  • Middleware Technologies: Websphere, Jboss, Wildfly, Tomcat, Apache, Kafka.
  • Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework such as Incident, Problem, and Change processes.
  • Understanding of LLMs, AI Archictecture patterns (RAG, Agentic, MCP etc).
  • Experience in Jenkins, Ansible, Elastic Search, Rundeck, GIT.
  • Monitoring and Data analytics tools: Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos.
  • Able to work on shift and with on-call support on rotation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills.
  • Customer service oriented and a strong team player.

Advantage if you have the following:

  • Cloud and DevOps engineering experience.
  • Experience working in the banking / financial institution.
