Cloud Engineer- Onsite Overland Park, KS

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting and evolving cloud-hosted client environments while helping drive automation, scalability, and operational excellence across our AWS ecosystem.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers to design, automate, and maintain cloud infrastructure while supporting critical client environments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale AWS initiatives and gain hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud operations, and enterprise healthcare technology.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS environments
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
- Create and enhance automation that improves operational efficiency and reduces manual effort
- Perform cloud system updates, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities
- Support production cloud environments and serve as a first line of defense for cloud-hosted solutions
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures
- Support enterprise database technologies including InterSystems IRIS
- Work with clients to resolve technical issues and provide guidance on infrastructure best practices
- Assist with CI/CD processes and automation initiatives using tools such as Jenkins
- Support networking, storage, load balancing, VPN, firewall, and security-related technologies
- Ensure cloud environments align with HIPAA and ISO security and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience administering Linux and/or Windows server environments
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, systems, or application-related issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AWS cloud services
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Scripting or automation experience
- Experience with Jenkins or CI/CD tools
- Experience supporting SQL Server or other enterprise database platforms
- Experience working within enterprise networking environments
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud migration practices
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with scripting or automation
