Location: Arlington, VA
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract.

Summary:
The Cloud Engineer will provide engineering expertise in building, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for DHS CISA. This role focuses on deploying mission-critical workloads in compliant environments while supporting modernization and Zero Trust initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage workloads in AWS GovCloud and Azure Gov.

  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.

  • Implement Zero Trust and FedRAMP-compliant security configurations.

  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and optimize performance.

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and security engineers to align cloud solutions with DHS mission needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud operations.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.

  • Strong understanding of DHS, NIST, and FedRAMP cloud security standards.

  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
