Salary: £65,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements:- Several years of strong cloud and infrastructure engineering experience
- Experience designing solutions and making technical decisions at senior or lead level
- Strong experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Experience with cloud networking, identity and access management, automation and cloud security
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, serverless architecture, hybrid environments and FinOps is desirable
- Design scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure
- Create reference architectures, technical standards and design patterns
- Design solutions across Azure, AWS or GCP environments
- Support migrations from on-premise infrastructure into the cloud
- Define infrastructure as code approaches using Terraform, Bicep, ARM or similar
- Design cloud networking across VNETs/VPCs, routing, DNS, load balancing and firewalls
- Build security into cloud architecture through Zero Trust, IAM, RBAC, encryption and network segmentation
- Design resilience, disaster recovery and backup strategies
- Work across Kubernetes, containers and serverless technologies
- Drive automation and improve the performance and cost efficiency of the cloud estate
- Evaluate new technologies and help shape future technical direction
- Mentor engineers and help develop the wider cloud and platform engineering capability

We are a growing UK organisation investing heavily in our cloud and technology capability. This is a hybrid role based in Liverpool with a salary of £65,000 to £75,000. You will work closely with our Head of Platform Engineering to help define our cloud architecture, technical standards and longer-term direction as we modernise our wider infrastructure environment.
