The Qualifications We Seek

Cloud Infrastructure

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, AWS administration, or production infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining AWS infrastructure in production environments.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, VPC networking, IAM, monitoring, and backup services, as well as Linux administration.
• Experience in managing cloud networking, compute resources, storage, access controls, and platform services.
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud environments and production infrastructure operations.

Infrastructure as Code and Automation

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including OpenTofu, Terraform-compatible workflows, Terragrunt, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Packer for machine image creation and infrastructure configuration.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to develop and maintain Bash or Python scripts for operational tasks.

GitOps and Change Management

• Strong experience with Git for infrastructure version control.
• Proficiency in branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and controlled change management.
• Solid understanding of GitOps principles and infrastructure promotion across development, staging, and production environments.

Databases and Troubleshooting

• Experience in administering or supporting relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute resources, networking, databases, storage, access permissions, performance, and cloud platform services.
• Experience in resolving production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

Professional Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Practical, hands-on, and team-oriented approach to infrastructure operations.
• Ability to manage priorities and respond effectively to production incidents.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to technical documentation and operational best practices.

Your Daily Tasks

• Build, maintain, and support reliable AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot core AWS services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Elastic Load Balancing, API Gateway, and AWS Backup.
• Manage Linux-based EC2 instances, Kubernetes infrastructure, database services, storage, networks, monitoring systems, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using OpenTofu, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, and Packer.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks through Ansible, Bash, and Python scripts.
• Apply GitOps principles and Git-based change management practices, including version control, branch strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and controlled infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor infrastructure health and performance, investigate production incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Support relational database operations involving MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure change records.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure service continuity and continuous infrastructure improvement.
