Designs, builds, and automates a secure private cloud/PaaS platform for a major Hong Kong financial body, with a heavy focus on IaC (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD (Jenkins), and containers (Docker, Kubernetes), spanning both Western and mainland Chinese cloud platforms. On-site in Admiralty, Hong Kong.
About the Client: We are working with a major financial body in Hong Kong. They are currently building out a robust, diversified private cloud and PaaS environment to host their critical banking and investment applications. The engineering culture here focuses heavily on security, high availability, and bridging the gap between global and mainland technology stacks.
The Role & Landscape: You will be in the trenches designing, implementing, and automating the infrastructure that powers the organization. This isn't a manual sysadmin role; it is heavily focused on code-driven infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to build out a secure private cloud platform.
Write and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible.
Automate application deployment pipelines (Jenkins) and manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
Troubleshoot complex cloud issues to ensure maximum system resilience.
What We Are Looking For:
4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
Deep practical knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux.
Exposure to major cloud platforms. Critically, you must be open-minded and willing to work with mainland Chinese cloud platforms (e.g., AliCloud, Tencent, Huawei) alongside Western tech.
Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and secure-by-design principles.
Fluency in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.
