Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Jr. Level

Location: Remote/Hybrid if local to Maryland (MON & WED in the office)

Job Overview:

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a mission-critical large-scale system serving the Federal Government in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities:

· Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of foundational cloud and infrastructure services.

· Support CI/CD toolchain integration, maintenance, change management, and testing.

· Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud resources and infrastructure components across environments, ensuring compliance with established standards and security requirements.

· Monitor system performance, availability, and health, escalating issues as needed and contributing to troubleshooting efforts for infrastructure, network, and cloud service disruptions.

· Participate in routine cloud operations activities including maintenance, patching, and configuration changes.

· Assist with incident response and root-cause analysis.
