Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer
Summary
An IT infrastructure engineer who manages Microsoft Azure hybrid cloud, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID), and Windows Server environments across global sites. Day to day covers Level 3 support, monitoring, backup/DR with Veeam, VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, identity and security admin, automation scripting, and infrastructure projects.
About the role
This role involves managing and maintaining Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud infrastructure, administering Microsoft 365 services, and maintaining Windows Server environments across global locations. You will perform proactive monitoring of global infrastructure services, investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents, manage backup and disaster recovery strategies, administer identity and security systems, develop automation scripts, and participate in global infrastructure transformation projects.
Key responsibilities
Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud infrastructure
Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID
Maintain Windows Server environments across global locations
Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI
Support datacenter, co-location, and cloud platforms to ensure high availability
Perform proactive monitoring of global infrastructure services
Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and recurring problems
Act as Level 3 support for server, cloud, storage, backup, and infrastructure-related issues
Manage Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure and monitor backup success rates
Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Group Policies
About you
Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments
Hands-on experience with Virtualization such as VMware and Hyper-V
Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Print Servers, and identity services
Good understanding of enterprise networking including LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi
Experience supporting global enterprise environments
Experience with ITIL service management processes
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
