Cloud IT Engineer (GCP)

Main responsibilities in this role:
Develop and maintain landing zone infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including automated testing for landing zone deployments.
Design multi-cloud landing zone architectures, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).
Configure and optimize load balancers, traffic management, and network security controls across cloud environments.
Establish cloud governance, security best practices, and support cloud migration and hybrid cloud strategies.
Lead P1/P2 incident response, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
Your background and skills include:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proven experience implementing enterprise-scale multi-cloud landing zones.
Expert-level proficiency in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
Advanced experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
Extensive experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
Deep understanding of cloud networking, including hybrid connectivity solutions.
It would be ideal if you also:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Google Cloud certification (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect).
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Key focus: Senior candidate with strong Google Cloud (GCP) expertise.
