Cloud IT Infrastructure Officer

A hands-on cloud infrastructure role in Adelaide administering Maptek's AWS and Azure environments, covering networking, identity, monitoring, backup/recovery, automation/infrastructure-as-code, cost optimisation, and operating ISO/IEC 27001 security controls.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud IT Infrastructure Officer to join our Adelaide team. This is a strongly hands-on role focused on the operation, security, reliability and continual improvement of Maptek's AWS and Azure infrastructure. You will work directly with cloud platforms, networking, identity, monitoring, automation and resilience while taking an active role in the technical controls supporting Maptek's ISO/IEC 27001 programme.

Core responsibilities
- Administer and improve AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure;
- Monitor cloud availability, performance, security and cost;
- Maintain cloud networking, identity, monitoring and access controls;
- Support backup, recovery, vulnerability management and incident response;
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code;
- Operate assigned ISO/IEC 27001 controls, including evidence, risk assessment and remediation; and
- Provide technical mentoring, review and knowledge transfer.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Strong hands-on experience administering AWS and/or Azure;
- Experience with cloud networking, identity, security and monitoring;
- Experience with backup, recovery, automation and infrastructure-as-code;
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
- Experience supporting ISO/IEC 27001 controls, risk assessment or audit activities;
- Ability to identify cloud cost and usage optimisation opportunities; and
- Relevant AWS, Azure, cloud infrastructure or information security qualifications will be highly regarded.
