Cloud Operations Engineer (Cloud / DevOps)

Salary: ₱60,000 – ₱80,000 per month

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing team and support enterprise cloud infrastructure and application operations for our leading enterprise clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in cloud platforms, infrastructure management, DevOps, containerization, and automation. You will be responsible for maintaining cloud environments, supporting application operations, implementing infrastructure automation, and ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of critical IT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure and cloud-based application environments.

• Support cloud operations, deployment, troubleshooting, incident management, and service availability.

• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, IBM Cloud, and/or Microsoft Azure.

• Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or other programming languages.

• Perform system monitoring, performance optimization, root cause analysis, and operational troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.

• Follow IT service management practices, security standards, change management procedures, and operational best practices.

• Participate in scheduled support activities, including 24/7 shifting operations, where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Relevant professional experience in Cloud Operations, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Systems Administration, or a similar IT role.

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, IBM Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.

• Experience or working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

• Proficiency in scripting or automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or other programming languages.

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and application operations.

• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and maintaining production environments.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to work on a day-shift or 24/7 shifting schedule, depending on project assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-level cloud infrastructure and mission-critical applications.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and deployment automation.

• Knowledge of cloud security, infrastructure monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery.

• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or equivalent certifications.
