The ADO System Administrator is responsible for the configuration, governance, and optimisation of Azure DevOps (ADO) to ensure consistent, high-quality use across the organisation in line with the Product Operating Model.

Key responsibilities:

Platform Configuration & Maintenance

Configure and manage ADO (e.g. boards, fields, iterations, workflows), ensuring it supports end-to-end tracking of change from ideation to delivery

Access & Security Management

Administer user access, roles, and permissions across projects, ensuring appropriate governance and control through security groups

Standards & Governance

Embed and enforce adherence to ADO standards, ensuring consistent structure (work item hierarchy, naming, states) to enable enterprise-wide reporting and alignment

Tool Enablement & Adoption

Support teams in adopting ADO effectively through guidance, training, and best practice, driving consistent use across all product and change teams

Data Quality & Reporting Enablement

Ensure ADO data is structured, complete, and reliable to support prioritisation, reporting, and decision-making across the Product Model

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve ADO configuration, usability, and integration to enhance delivery flow, collaboration, and visibility
