Role Description:

As a Cloud Platform Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in enabling development and operations teams through robust, scalable, and secure platform capabilities. You will help build the foundation that empowers teams to deliver software efficiently, reliably, and securely.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain self-service platform capabilities that streamline application delivery, observability, and operational workflows across the organization. You will develop infrastructure and tooling that supports scalable CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and deployment automation using technologies such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub, and ARM templates. You will also standardize and automate platform operations, including provisioning, configuration management, secrets management, and runtime orchestration.

You will engineer comprehensive observability solutions across logging, metrics, and traces using tools such as Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog, while implementing reliability patterns and SRE-inspired practices to improve service performance, availability, and scalability. Security will be integrated into your work as you embed secure-by-default practices into platform tooling and pipelines, support DevSecOps principles, and help ensure platform components and services adhere to security baselines and compliance standards.

Collaboration is essential to your success. You will work closely with application developers, cloud engineers, data teams, cybersecurity, and product teams to support the smooth integration of platform services across the software development lifecycle. You will mentor team members, foster continuous learning and shared ownership, participate in incident response and root cause analysis, and contribute to blameless post-mortems that improve platform resilience. You will also serve as an escalation point for platform monitoring, tools, and general cloud infrastructure and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as needed.
