We're looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our newly established Digital Platform & Security team. Created as part of Council's future-focused transformation, this exciting new role will be instrumental in modernising our technology environment and helping us move from legacy systems to scalable, secure and automated cloud platforms.
As our lead cloud and platform specialist, you'll combine traditional infrastructure expertise with modern engineering practices. From managing hybrid environments and cloud services to looking ahead at infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines and platform optimisation, you'll help ensure the technology that supports our people and community is reliable, secure and ready for the future.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building, improving and automating technology environments.
You'll bring strong infrastructure or cloud engineering experience, a passion for solving complex technical problems, and a drive to continuously improve the way things are done. You're equally comfortable working with cloud platforms, automation tools and operational systems, and you enjoy finding smarter, more efficient ways to deliver outcomes.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience managing cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Enjoy automation, Infrastructure as Code, and streamlining repetitive processes.
- Have a strong security mindset and commitment to best practice.
- Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
