Ready to put your systems administration skills to work and grow your cloud expertise? Join our Digital Platform & Security team in Taupō and help shape the next chapter of our enterprise technology environment.

Bring your hands-on experience in servers, VMware, networking and backups to a role where you can make a real difference from day one. You'll solve complex problems, keep the systems council relies on secure and reliable, and help drive our journey towards modern systems and cloud infrastructure. You'll have the scope to automate, improve how we work and take ownership of meaningful technical challenges, growing your cloud and enterprise skills as our environment moves towards a cloud environment

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI MĀTOU I TĒNEI MOMO TANGATA

We're looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer who brings strong infrastructure foundations alongside practical cloud experience.

Our cloud journey is already underway and we're in the early stages of moving into an IaaS and hybrid environment. We need someone who can come in, take ownership of that journey and help drive it forward, while continuing to keep our existing infrastructure secure, reliable and performing well.

You'll be hands-on, technically confident and comfortable working across both traditional and cloud environments. You'll enjoy solving complex problems, improving how things are done and helping us move progressively towards a more modern, automated way of managing our infrastructure.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Strong hands-on systems administration experience across Windows Server, VMware, storage and backups, including patching, monitoring, access and application management
  • Confident troubleshooting across enterprise infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, VPNs and hybrid connectivity, with familiarity across Microsoft 365.
  • Practical cloud experience and a drive to build on it, including infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines that reduce manual work and deliver reliable, repeatable infrastructure changes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to simplify, standardise and improve how our systems are managed, and sharing what you learn to lift capability across the team.

WHAT WE OFFER - NGĀ ĀHUATANGA KEI A MĀTOU

Your career aspirations will be encouraged, whether you're just starting out or an expert. Our strengths-based environment will enable you to be the best version of yourself at work.

Our spaces are filled with warmth and welcoming conversation. We collaborate closely and lead with empathy - for our colleagues and for our community. We encourage our people to find the flexibility within their role to do more of what matters to them in and out of work. When you join us, you'll enjoy our:

  • Strong focus on wellness - discounted gym membership and health insurance and wellbeing initiatives to support your mental, physical and financial wellbeing
  • Flexible work environment - work from home options and flexible hours to promote a great work-life balance
  • Assistance with ongoing professional development - access to learning opportunities to help you grow
