Cloud Security Engineer

• Strong experience within enterprise cloud environments, including Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
• Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep.
• Experience with CSPM/SSPM solutions, cloud security tooling, and cloud governance.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and modern cloud security architectures.
• Experience with threat modelling, security testing, and cloud security standards.
• Understanding of authentication, cryptography, networking, and enterprise security principles.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code security tools such as Terraform Sentinel, Wiz or similar.
• Background within financial services or another regulated environment is desirable.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience is desirable.
• Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience is desirable.

• Review and assess security risks across cloud platform services.
• Design, develop, and implement cloud security controls.
• Partner with infrastructure engineering teams to securely deliver cloud solutions.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud security services and best practices.
• Conduct threat modelling, security reviews, and security testing activities.
• Support the adoption and optimisation of CSPM/SSPM tooling and policy-as-code security controls.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join a high-performing global security team and help shape and strengthen the security posture of enterprise cloud platforms. This is a contract role for 4 months initially, inside IR35, based in Manchester with a hybrid working model and 3 days on site. We offer the opportunity to work at the forefront of cloud security across modern enterprise environments.
