Cloud Software Engineer
NewBe an early applicantMANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role you will be working as a cloud engineer utilizing cloud computing platforms and developing full stack web application interfacing with AWS services.
Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.
Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:
- Research, recommend, and implement visualization tools for our administration, security, and finance teams.
- Build new and improved existing CI/CD pipelines for testing, building, and releasing software applications.
- Developed full stack web application interfacing with AWS services managing millions of dollars of customer projects as an all-in-one support dashboard.
- Architect and maintain intuitive user interfaces for software that manages hundreds of AWS accounts, directly improving our cloud management capabilities
- Foster a culture of technical excellence by writing clean, maintainable code and staying current with modern web development best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12 years of overall experience. An additional 2 years of experience may be substituted with an active Certified Kubernetes Application OR Certified Kubernetes Administrator
- Proven experience developing robust and scalable web applications with ansible, Python, Angular, Nodejs and/or Django
- Functional experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Hands-on experience with Agile project management and technical documentation using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent with Git and GitLab, both in commonplace software development processes (branches, merge, reviews, issues, code reviews)
- Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services, architecture, and deployment best practices.
- Working knowledge of relational database management, specifically utilizing MySQL.
- Previous background or hands-on experience in Unix/Linux and/or Windows system administration.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
• The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
