We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Security who is passionate about driving our customers' security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Platforms to support the Korean business. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements.
Responsibilities
• Drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor; provide feedback and insights from customers/partners as the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices
• Connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap
• Land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) spanning Microsoft Security offerings, with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management, and Cloud Security
• Position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage and help customers get value from their Microsoft investments
• Identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise; deliver according to MS best practices using repeatable IP
• Accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring 'Secure by Design' framework (high-performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, reliability)
• Align individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goals; contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) creation & re-use
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing solutions, governing design in line with customer business goals and technical environment
• Collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 6 to 12 years of professional work experience, including at least 3 years of experience in security-related roles
• Foundational understanding of Cloud security concepts (Zero Trust, identity, threat protection)
• Native-level proficiency in Korean AND Business-level proficiency in English
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of Microsoft Korea's Gwanghwamun office in Seoul (relocation assistance not provided)
Preferred
• Foundational understanding of Azure and/or Microsoft 365 architecture
• Hands-on experience with one or more of: Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, or Purview
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Microsoft certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500 (or in progress)
• Experience supporting enterprise or regulated-industry customers
• Strong collaboration mindset and customer-first attitude
• Presentation skills with comfort for both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, Messaging/Collaboration/Network/Security administrators, solution architecture teams)
• Understanding of how Microsoft Security, compliance, and identity solutions can span across solution areas to provide a holistic end-to-end solution
• Ability to understand customer's Security-related business requirements and solve them through Microsoft cloud technologies
• Competitive Landscape knowledge of Security platforms and ability to learn new cloud technologies
