Summary
Designs and implements secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, using IaC, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices to drive enterprise migrations and digital transformation.
Role & responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Define enterprise cloud architecture, governance standards, reference architectures, and cloud adoption strategies.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives for enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- Design hybrid and multi-cloud environments to ensure high availability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Architect containerized and cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and microservices.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and business teams to design end-to-end cloud solutions.
- Evaluate business and technical requirements and recommend optimal cloud services, architectures, and deployment models.
- Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, Zero Trust, encryption, compliance, and governance policies.
- Optimize cloud performance, scalability, availability, and cost using FinOps and cloud optimization strategies.
- Design and review CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to accelerate application delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, solution documentation, and design governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support pre-sales activities by preparing solution proposals, effort estimates, technical presentations, and customer workshops.
- Mentor cloud engineers and architects while driving architecture standards and best practices across the organization.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree is preferred.
- 7 to 12 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven experience designing enterprise‑scale, hybrid cloud, and multi‑cloud architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, microservices, serverless computing, and cloud-native application architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, VPC/VNet, VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, DNS, Load Balancers, and API Gateway.
- Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, and automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and ArgoCD.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security, governance, compliance frameworks, Zero Trust architecture, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation, consulting, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional global teams.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, CKA, Terraform Associate, or ITIL are highly preferred.
