About the Role
The Cloud Solutions Engineer is a key technical role with a client-facing, consultative core. You'll combine hands-on cloud and DevOps expertise with strategic advisory skills to help clients solve applied business problems through technology — architecting and delivering production-grade solutions on AWS while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement.
You'll bring analytical and technical rigor, creativity, and customer-service excellence to every engagement, taking ownership of both your individual contributions and the responsibility for outcomes of the broader team, while helping build a culture that encourages learning, improvement, and excellence.
What You'll Do
Technical Delivery
- Architect, deploy, and optimize secure, modern web application architectures and their associated cloud services.
- Deploy and manage production applications in AWS for clients and customers, applying DevOps best practices.
- Design and deliver technical solutions that map directly to client priorities and business impact, ensuring builds are robust, scalable, high quality, and reflective of industry best practices.
Client Advisory & Engagement Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients — using deep technical and business expertise to guide decisions on implementation, governance, and change management, and to offer a clear point of view on program and product performance and direction, even with imperfect information.
- Work directly with clients to understand their unique challenges and opportunities, tailoring solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Lead and oversee complex, high-stakes, multi-threaded technology implementations and advisory engagements.
- Navigate complex organizational structures and build strong relationships across stakeholder groups — from technical teams to functional directors and decision-makers — facilitating alignment and driving consensus as an advocate for both the client and commonFont.
